NEWBRIDGE FARM PARK
OUR LOCAL AREA
Newbridge Farm is a luxury park home development based in Simonswood, near Rainford and Kirby in West Lancashire. We are surrounded by open countryside, fields, and woodland and there are a few village shops within walking distance.
There is a public footpath next to the park that is perfect for dog walking and rambling. We have the added benefit of Simonswood Brook and views over Newbridge Fishing Lakes and all the wildlife they attract!
Newbridge Fishing Lakes are literally on our doorstep and our residents have free unrestricted access! There are 2 fishing lakes, open during daylight hours.
They are fully stocked with Carp – mirror and common, Tench, Bream, F1’s, Barble, Ide and Golden Orf. Match bookings welcome and open matches are held every Wednesday. Anyone is welcome! Please note, no keep nets, no barbed hooks and anglers must have a landing net.
KIRKBY
Kirkby has everything you need from a range of local independent retailers, big brand names as well as over 100 stalls at the indoor Kirkby Market.
The new retail development is now open, offering you a Morrisons superstore, petrol filling station, a drive-thru Taco Bell restaurant, a drive-thru KFC restaurant and a Home Bargains. A brand new train station under construction at Headbolt Lane in Kirkby with direct trains to Liverpool and Manchester.
ORMSKIRK
Ormskirk a popular rural town in West Lancashire. Known for its friendly locals, heritage and folklore. There are independent shops and boutiques shops to explore and a historic Market renowned for being one of the UK’s oldest and most traditional outdoor markets.
Ormskirk is a bustling town with a vibrant community and a host of experiences, events and attractions throughout the year.
AINTREE
Aintree is only 7 miles from our park, with plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants for you to enjoy.
Aintree is also home to the world-famous racecourse which holds the grand national every year and popular events throughout the year.
KIRKBY VALLEY GOLF CLUB
Kirkby Valley Golf Club is a scenic parkland course which is split by the River Alt. Kirkby Valley is both a pleasant and challenging parkland course.
The holes have been carefully moulded onto the contours of the land and is also enhanced by a great many trees & undulations.
The 18 hole golf course is over 6600 yards off the white tees and boasts a good mix of par 3s, long par 4s and score-able par 5s, making it a test for golfers of all abilities.
KNOWSLEY
Knowsley is home to some of the best open spaces on Merseyside. Awarded the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture and celebrations include a year-long programme of events and activities – from art and theatre to comedy, dance, food, sport and much more.
Knowsley Safari Park has a 5 mile safari drive which is the longest in the UK, and home to everything from cheeky baboons to a magnificent lion pride.
SOUTHPORT
Southport has 22 miles of coastline to explore, surrounded by natural beauty, making it a great place to escape. At Crosby beach you can experience the Anthony Gormley ‘Another Place’ art installation, 100 iron men standing proudly looking out to sea.
